HistoryThe club originated in New Richmond in 1961 as a "Garden Study Division" of the New Richmond Women's Club. The club became an independent organization in 1962, when the Women's Club disbanded. In 1963 the name was changed to the "Green Thumbelina Garden Club" and joined the Winsconsin Garden Club Federation and its parent organization, National Council of State Garden Clubs. In 2008, the club adopted its present name, the Willow River Garden Club, to accommodate the potential for make members and more accurately describe the large geographic area in which the majority of its members live.Purpose/Projects
